We want to walk in the footsteps of Mr. Hershey by returning to a natural past in order to improve the quality of life in Hershey for our families and businesses for generations to come. Where Mr. Hershey created a walkable town with parks and public transportation, we want to beautify public spaces in our wonderful town with gardens and meadows planted with flowers and grasses Mr. Hershey would recognize.
Our approach will deliver beauty to our community, cost savings to taxpayers, and prevent flooding of streets, homes and businesses from storm water. The Milton Hershey School has already provided leadership in moving from expensive, high maintenance manicured lawns to inexpensive, low maintenance meadows right here.
